So, I have been reading and reading and really feel that the ideas behind Enki are speaking strongly to my family. Especially my husband who has been trying to encourage me to be rhythmic for a long time now and I have been resisting him a lot! How funny it is that it now all makes sense to me!
The only think we have been implementing so far is a morning gathering time. When it is nice out, we have been going for a nice, long, brisk walk. When it is not nice, we have been doing some sun salutations and morning visit/connection. Sometimes the dad is there, sometimes he is at work, but it’s been quite nice.
I have a 14 year old boy and an 11 year old boy along with my 6 year old daughter and it can be . . . interesting trying to engage them with a good attitude for our walks. They want to stroll and grab sticks and just generally not be as brisk and cheerful as my daughter and I. But, they are coming along with us without complaining and I think it makes a great deal of difference when it gets to be time for them to sit and do a bit of work. I really am interested in incorporating Enki with them as I feel sad that I did not have this knowledge when they were younger.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my thoughts and seek encouragement if there is any out there!
