Why are we selling our beautiful house? Isaac took 2 years building this place. We poured the foundation a few days after bringing our second baby home from the hospital. During the pregnancy we worked on the house plans. I found a picture of a house I liked and then Isaac drew up the plans. No, he had never made blue prints before, he had no software and he is not an architect. The man can do anything. He borrowed a drafting table, bought some drafting paper and DRAFTED BLUEPRINTS! Amazing. I helped come up with the floor plan and layout. It was hard, but fun. We harvested from downed trees to get the logs for our front porch and inside posts. We spent Sunday’s gathering river rock. We worked hard! Now we are selling? Well, here goes the explanation. We want to be debt free. We have a mortgage and don’t want one. We want to travel and spend time with our kids, go to Mexico every winter, camping lots in the summer time. We want to experience life together as a family and, as much as we love this place, it’s time to try to sell it so we can live our dreams.
Ok, so everyone is asking WHY?

I hear you. We are in our “starter” home 15 years later. Most everyone I know has a bigger space and more bathrooms, but if we trade up, I would have to go back to my career. No more being home afterschool… No more travel… More repair expenses and taxes…. For us it is not worth it. There is no such thing as enough time with my family – I am always greedy for more!
