Keep a Three Ring Binder for your Ancient Civilizations & Shurley English course. You will need separate tabs for each of these sections:
· Grammar: This will be for your daily sentences.
· Reading: This will be for any writing or summarizing you do of your extra reading, not for your Main Lesson Ancient Civilizations reading. If your mom or dad wants you to summarize anything you’ve read, this is where it will go.
· Essay Writing: This is for any writing that Shurley English has you do, independent sentences from lesson 2, paragraphs or essays.
· Spelling: Any words you have trouble with during the week will become spelling words for the week, enter them in this section.
· Vocabulary: All of your Main Lesson Ancient Civilizations Vocab words will go here.
· Ancient Civilizations: This is for all of your written work from your Main Lessons in Oak Meadow Ancient Civilizations. At the beginning of each week label a page with Chapter Number and Chapter Name. Example: Lesson 10: Ancient China. This will be nice to have as you look back and see that you have made a lesson book of your own! Oak Meadow will have you do lots of drawings and other activities that you will want to keep in this section, so use your 3 hole punch and insert them in as you complete them.
You will also need:
· Good quality large drawing paper
· Colored Pencils
· Lots of lined paper for your binder
· Blank paper in your binder for drawings
· 3 Hole Punch
· Notebook or 3 ring binder with loose leaf paper for your Basic Life Science course.
